I’m again returning to the old blog, or at least attempting to do so. I’ve been pondering working with a different theme. I’ve been using this one since sometime in 2004, I think. There are pretty fancy themes out there, but I’ve always like the clean look here without all the cluttered side bars and such. The down side is that the old theme is too far out of date for any of the new features and plugins Word Press has available now. So I’ll probably take a new theme and format the appearance closer to the original look. Something to do in the next few weeks.

“Pressrow” was the cleanest (free) theme I was able to find on WordPress, although I didn’t look very hard and it was a few years ago. The main downside is its somewhat small width: your content won’t stretch across the entire screen. I’m more familiar with Blogger (all my course blogs are blogspots), so if you decide for a more radical shift, I can give you tips.

I’m working with a pretty easy to manipulate theme right now. I’ll have it going at some point in the next week or two. I actually started on Blogger way back in ’02. I switched from there to my own site because I wanted the greater flexibility in presentation and tools as well as my own domain name. I already had my own webhosting, so setting it up was pretty easy. Plus, it’s also kinda fun to mess around with themes, css, and html.
