EU Says no PA Money Fraud - But Still Not Sure About EU
You'll be relieved to know this:
The European Union's anti-fraud office said Thursday that it has found no conclusive evidence that EU aid to the Palestinian Authority was diverted to fund terror groups or anti-Israel propaganda.
You should keep in mind, however, that the EU accountants have refused to sign off on the EU budget for the past ten years or so due to widespread massive irregularities and discrepancies. That and the insufficient bookkeeping system, numerous allegations of fraud, lax rules concerning department funds and transfers, and the punishment of whistleblowers.
So while EUniks have no idea what's happening with their own accounts, be rest assured by them that the PA is not using EU money inappropriately. Of course, the article said they found no 'conclusive evidence.' Considering the EU political will to really dig for truth on this issue, that probably means they flipped through the ledgers, didn't see any entries for 'terrorism,' 'bombs,' or 'belts (suicide),' and so called them good.
