Via Wizbang, I learned of the scandals of Rep. Randy “Duke” Cunningham (R-CA). It appears that Cunningham sold his house to defense contractor Mitchell Wade for far more than it was worth. Shortly afterward, Wade started getting millions in government contracts from the House Appropriations Committee, of which Cunningham was a member. In D.C., Cunningham was also living on a yacht owned by Wade. Both are currently being investigated by the FBI. Oh, and on his personal website Cunningham was also selling a $600 Buck knife with the official seal of the U.S. Congress on the blade, which he did without permission, which in turn is a federal crime. That’s an impressive body of work. According to the Washingtonian, he was voted by staffers as the dumbest member of the House. Ya think?

My representative to Congress is “Duke” Cunningham. He’s in trouble for taking bribes that were hidden as real estate transaction (selling his home to a defense contractor for $700,000 more than it was worth) and selling his house boat to someone else convicted on bribery for more than it was worth.
