Ummm… I don’t think it’s really fair to describe such a theory as right or left. It’s outside such notions as the vast majority of the political spectrum doesn’t subscribe to it. You may counter that the other beliefs the people hold agree with conservativism, but that doesn’t mean you can call it something wrong with conservatism. These are just minority oddballs.
In contrast, the lefty conspiracy theories I mentioned are very widespread on the liberal side. Take a tour of the Democratic Underground, Daily Kos, Atrios, The Nation, and other places to get an idea of this. And I’ve personally heard some otherwise very intelligent people espouse some of these paranoid views. Their views are not isolated.
